Chapel FM – Open Day at Chapel FM

Open Day at Chapel FM

Saturday 8th October from 1pm

An invitation to come and find out what we’ve been up to at Chapel FM—and maybe get involved yourself! Chapel FM is two years old. When we nervously launched the Chapel as the first-ever arts venue in East Leeds, we were understandably nervous about how things would go.

Looking back on it now, there was nothing much to worry about. Right from opening day we’ve had a fabulous response from everyone who’s come along. Ed Heaton, Programmer at Chapel FM, calls it a ‘magic space’—everything people have tried there has worked brilliantly!

chapelfm-richardburgonIn two years just under 20,000 people have visited Chapel FM; two thirds of them local people (from LS14 and LS15 postcodes) but we are quite happy that people have come from across Leeds and further afield—we are even expecting some Dutch people coming to find out what we are up to on the 8th October!

But the most important thing for us is to make it an exciting place for local people. A place to come and watch great performances, listen to fabulous live music or watch a brilliant film. And more than that, come along and get involved—make your own radio programmes, join in our singing groups, develop your own writing skills, or just pop in for coffee and cake at our community café on Thursdays.

At the Open Day you will be able to talk to some of the people who have got involved themselves and find out about all the different courses we run for people of all ages.

You can always get in touch with Centre Manager, Fuzzy Jones for more information about Chapel FM. Call on 0113 22 55 944, email info@chapelfm.co.uk or just pop in…
