Move love get on your feet, elm_issue_55
We’re gonna break the concrete,
Drive bulldozers down the street,
We’re gonna make the concrete,
Move love get on your feet,
We’re gonna shake the concrete,
Lift that slab find a beach,
We’re gonna make the concrete move.

Fad Gadget’s classic 80’s sound from their Snakes & Ladders album. Quite fitting for this issue as we had a chat with Steve Speight and Martin Raper about Rouge, 2TV, playing at the Staging Post in the early 80’s and of course the spotted path, described by Martin as a dystopian yellow brick road. (p40-42).

Alan Cuthbertson got away from all that concrete, found a beach and a place he could sit back, relax and wrote two books. (page 34). His Easter eggs might have melted in all that sun but at least if he comes home the Grace Communion Church are keen to let him and everyone else know they are invited this Easter.

You’re also invited to the Chapel FM Easter Film Festival, one of the highlights is a screening of the recently released Janis: Little Girl Blue and local musicians performing live tributes to her music.

Happy Easter John & Ali
