Well, we voted out! Who knows what the future holds. Alan Cuthbertson left the country a few years ago now and tells us a little about his new home on page 40. Sound and Vision DJ’s aka the Moody Brothers never got much further than East End Park, Harehills and Sedans. All those strobe lights might have given them palpitations, if that’s the case they might well read Abel’s article here and if they need a prescription try here.

Christopher Irving didn’t need a prescription to lose weight, he came all the way from Belfast and lost five stones and eight pounds (or was it Euros!) in six months to win Halton Slimming World’s Man of the Year award.

There’s still time to see Alice Nutters fantastic play ‘Barnbow Canaries’ at the WY Playhouse. It’s on until 9th July. We were at the opening night and it was funny, sad and brilliant all at the same time.

Also on the 9th (&10th) July, pack up your troubles in your old kit bag and get down to St. Gemma’s Vintage Fair.
where you might bag a bargain or two. Still on the 9th July (a busy day, can you get to them all?) Seacroft Gala is on the Village Green and they will be showcasing some of the finest local music talent among other things.
