Tom Tom Club’s Wordy Rappinghood apt for this issue, we’ve words from local writers Frances Brody and Anthony Clavane as well as regular Alan Cuthberbertson who tells us about the perils of driving in Spain. Grace Communion Church reminisce about the old Mini’s and Fiat 500’s to get us on the road. John Moody also reminisces about his Dj’ing back in the day and takes us on a pub crawl up York Road.

Warren the Pest Control man might have spent some time on the A64 catching all manner of pests and gives some sound advice as the nights draw in and the days get colder. Abel Kubare chips in with ‘Of Mice & Men, Diabetes and Dictators!’ If all this talk of pests and rodents is a bit much for you, try a bit of Chinese Medicine, Liuquing Wang gives us the low-down on Cupping as seen in the Olympic Games.

Ont’ old bit of York Road, Chapel FM are having an Open Day to celebrate two years of bringing us wonderful local radio and so much more (see p30). East Leeds Academy are having an Open Evening on 27th September from 6pm.

Don’t forget St.Gemma’s are having another vintage fair on 8th October between 10am-3pm.
