St Gemma’s Hospice – Festive Bucket Collection

St Gemma’s Festive Bucket Collection

St Gemma’s Hospice needs your support for their big Festive Bucket Collection. On Saturday November 21between 9am and 5pm, the charity aims to raise £7000 from peoples’ spare change in just 8 hours!

They want your help, so grab a bucket and collect anywhere in Leeds, and make it their biggest collection ever.

This is the one day of the year when the Hospice has a permit to collect all around Leeds, so it’s a great opportunity to volunteer on your local high street. You can also collect for however long you’d like, making this a really flexible way to support a vital local charity.

Each and every day the Hospice makes life better for local people who have been diagnosed with cancer and other life limiting illnesses. Expert medical care is provided around the clock, ensuring that all patients are as pain free as possible.

Everyone who accesses St Gemma’s Hospice’s services is treated as an individual, ensuring their emotional and spiritual wellbeing is looked after too. This also extends to friends and family, who can access practical advice and bereavement support.

All of these services are provided completely free of charge, but they are not free to provide. Every year the Hospice has to raise £6.2 million to keep providing this important care, which is why they need your support at this annual collection.

Throughout the day St Gemma’s Hospice staff will be based in the city centre, with festive entertainment, a stall and refreshments available. You can also collect outside your local St Gemma’s Shop or on your local high street.

This is a great way to fundraise as a group too, for example taking part as a family, workplace or sports club.

To register as a volunteer or for more information visit or call Emily on 0113 218 5565.
